Watch A Holiday Movie!!!!

My best friend is an avid film fan and from classics to blockbusters, she watches them all. One of her favorite habits has rubbed off on me, as such things often can among friends. She often picks out a series of movies that go with a particular a theme and has a seasonal marathon.

Her entire month of October is always devoted to the slasher films she loves (and her boyfriend hates!) as she tries to get spooky for Halloween. And she waited very impatiently all this storm starved winter for the blizzard that would shut her in with all her snow themed cold weather classics. When the flakes finally flew well into the winter season, she got so excited that I think the only snow movie she didn’t watch was “Alive.

There’s nothing like watching a classic film to unwind after a hectic day of holiday errands. The nostalgic reminder that comes from viewing an annual favorite can be a morale boost helping to minimize the added stress these celebrations can sometimes bring to our already overly hectic schedules. In other words… they help to keep me in the mood.
